It has been a solid two months of posting and I want to thank those who have read every post! You know yourselves. Why saltedpen?  Salt adds flavor and preserves. Using the pen I want to bring about a change infused with those inherent qualities. Mathew 5:13 says it much better.
History month was great but I do have to admit being confined to bounds of a theme did bring some sense of appreciation for structure (bound by this word…structure>>> follows me). The patience of writing, the beauty of it; the fact that it flows from a thought makes it so exciting. The final full stop leaves you with glee and even though you don’t know how it will end …..You write. It’s more like life. All the pieces may never seem to fit but when you reach the twilight, that’s when it starts to make sense. And through a pair of brand new eyes illuminated by God, you look at things differently.
For the next posts will be theme free; unless there is one…anyone. Thank you again for your reading.

Chase

I won’t chase after….  Something elusive Something dismissive Something invasive That borders on the repulsive I won’t chase after toys Something coy A ploy That will make me burn like troy I won’t chase after… Something wickedly seductive That makes my emotions captive Derives pleasure in my pain I can’t chase fakes that break down Costly mistakes that bring a man down The stakes are high And down the stake you go
